Our Team

My name is David Arabis, and I serve as the Athletic Director at Impact Christian Academy. Before joining ICA, I served as the Athletic Director and Physical Education teacher at Lighthouse Christian School, where I continue to teach middle school PE and oversee the athletic program. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling with my family whenever we can and staying active by playing sports with friends, especially golf. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve at ICA because I believe athletics are a powerful way to help students grow in character, leadership, and their faith. My goal is for every student-athlete to leave ICA prepared to positively impact those around them for Christ.

My name is Caleb Babcock, and I will be teaching U.S History, World History, World Literature, English 9 and 10, as well as Test Prep.
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater last spring. Coached at Milton High School Football as a JV Assistant Coach from 2022-2025.
 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to historic places across the world, and watching Wisconsin sports.  I wanted to teach somewhere where I could bring my faith into the classroom, rather than leaving it at the door. ICA's mission of integrating faith into every subject aligns with how I have already seen my calling to teach.
 

I want students to leave knowing how to think critically, not just memorize facts, and to see themselves as people who can actually make a difference in their community,
country, and faith.

I am originally from Venezuela and have a passion for teaching and working with children. Before joining ICA, I gained experience creating engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop a love for learning and the Spanish language. Outside of school, I love spending quality time with my husband and our dog, Thor. I also enjoy serving in my church’s dance ministry, planning and decorating events, creating engaging activities for children, and exploring the outdoors, especially camping. I was drawn to ICA because of its commitment to providing a Christ-centered education. I believe Christian education goes beyond academics—it helps students grow in character, faith, and wisdom while encouraging them to become the people God created them to be. I am excited to be part of a school where Christ is at the center of everything we do. I hope every student leaves my classroom feeling more confident in their Spanish skills, inspired to keep learning, and knowing they are valued, capable, and deeply loved by God. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged, respected, and excited to learn every day.

My name is Alexandra Coss. I am the Director of Development and Marketing
Coordination at ICA. My background is in social work, early childhood education, and nonprofit management. Prior to coming to ICA, I worked in development at Care Net Pregnancy Center. I saw firsthand the fruits of a Christian education through my child’s experience at High Point and knew I wanted to be part of advocating for both Christian education and families like my own seeking a Christ-centered education. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son, gardening, reading, and exercising.

This year I'm teaching 9th - 12th Grade Science. I earned my degree in Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Arts in Education in Educational Administration from Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Philippines. Before coming to ICA, I taught for seventeen years at a private catholic secondary school and spent one and a half years teaching college students and became a thesis adviser for BS Biology students. Outside of school, you'll usually find me walking or hiking with my friends. I’m also into photography, movies and music. What drew me to ICA was the chance to teach science not as something separate from faith, but as an invitation to wonder at God's design. I believe Christian education should help students see that every equation, cell, and ecosystem tells us something true about the Creator. More than anything, I want my students to leave my classroom as curious thinkers who ask good questions, aren't afraid to get something wrong on the way to getting it right, and who see science as one more way to know and worship God.

My name is Esther Ender. I am ICA's administrative assistant, with a focus on attendance, enrollment, and the voucher program. My background is being a wife and mom. I started working in the office because all my kids were in school, I had some spare time, and I wanted to be near my kids. I continue working in the office because I love the students and coworkers, and I'm passionate about seeing ICA succeed. We are a light in a spiritually dark city, and we are equipping future generations to carry that light forward. Outside of work, I love Jesus, my family, reading, and walking.

My name is Stephanie Formo, and I and ICA's Assitant Principal and will be teaching AP Literature and AP American Government! I’ve been teaching in some capacity for the last 15 years while homeschooling my own kids (the oldest is officially off to college now!) In my free time, I love to READ! I also serve on the board of the High School Moot Court Association (HSMCA), so basically, for fun, I do exactly what I teach the students! I believe that a strong education built on the foundation of faith is the most critical component of any student’s future- learning to think for themselves, engage with the world around them, and communicate from a biblical worldview will set them up well for any future that God calls them to.

My name is Kaitlyn Hanson, and I teach English Language Arts at ICA. I earned my B.A. in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There, I also completed double minors in Classical Studies and Folklore. Outside the classroom, I enjoy creative writing, listening to live music, and spending time with family and friends. I was drawn to ICA because I wanted to be part of a Christian community where faith and learning go hand in hand. My hope is that students leave my classroom with a love of literature and a deeper desire to become thoughtful, Christ-centered leaders.

Hua Meng is a math, science, and computer science teacher at ICA. He received his computer science master’s degree from East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. He values Christian education for its emphasis on godly character, a positive growth-minded attitude, and excellence for the glory of God. His desire is to combine knowledge of math and science with his experience for the young generation to establish a Christian worldview, being free to live as the person God created them to be. In his spare time, Hua enjoys reading, swimming, and classical music.

My name is Samalie Nakawuki and I teach Algebra 1, Geometry, Introduction to business, and Foundational ACT Math. I graduated from Baylor University with a Master of Science in Business Analytics. I just completed an internship/summer school training with CfUT, doubled as an Accountant and Auditor at my former workplace, and was a voluntary teaching assistant.

I’m passionate about acquiring, demonstrating, and sharing knowledge. I engage in fun activities such as reading a variety of books, travel & adventure, soccer, and interacting with people.  ICA’s Christian values since I’ve been a Christian since childhood. More still, my CfUT recruiter connected me to ICA. I want to instill in my students that learning never ceases, and that I’ll also learn from them several aspects. Practice makes perfect. Trust the Lord always, even harder courses will be doable. Positivity is key in all we do.

My name is Alecsya Price, and I am the Student Services Specialist at ICA. I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in May 2025 with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Biology and Chemistry. Outside of school, I am actively involved in my church. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and friends and playing recreational volleyball/pickleball. As a public-school graduate, I am so grateful that families in the Madison area have the opportunity to receive a Christian education at an affordable cost. I truly believe in ICA’s mission of building up great leaders in the faith and providing students with the tools they need to make a meaningful impact on the world around them. I hope students walk away from their experience at ICA feeling confident in who they are, knowing they are capable of great things, and understanding the importance of using their gifts to serve others.

Hi! My name is Mr. Craig, and I am the Drama and Art Teacher. I studied at Edgewood University in all aspects of performing arts, along with sports medicine and Therapeutic Psychology. Outside of school, I am a beatboxer and baritone for “The Drama,” an acapella group. What drew me to ICA was the opportunity for student success. I have started multiple programs, and I believe that if God gave you talents, you should use them. After students graduate, I want them to know that they are truly a blank canvas. School has only been a foundation; their lives will mold and shape them into whoever they want to be. I hope they leave knowing to stay open-minded to the possibilities, and that they will keep learning and learning forever.

Hello, my name is Mr. Mike (Coach Mike), and I will be teaching physical education and health at ICA. I grew up in the Chicagoland suburb of Lockport, Illinois, where I developed a passion for sports and competition from a young age. I graduated from Brother Rice High School in Chicago in 2017, where I finished my basketball career as the program’s all-time leader in three-pointers made (235) and second in total points scored (1,388). I continued my playing career at Bemidji State University before transferring to Saint Xavier University to finish my college career. I bring experience as an athlete, coach, trainer, and mentor into the classroom. After college, I founded Swish HQ Hoops, a basketball training program focused on helping athletes of all ages build their skills, confidence, work ethic, and understanding of the game. Outside of school, I enjoy basketball, training, and continuing to develop young athletes through coaching and mentorship. I am excited to be at ICA because I believe Christian education provides an opportunity to develop the whole person—helping students grow not only in their abilities, but also in character, faith, and how they treat and serve others. I hope students leave my class with healthy habits, confidence, character, teamwork, and a positive relationship with physical activity that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

My name is Tia Sierra, and I am the Superintendent at Impact Christian Academy. I have been the Principal at Lighthouse Christian School for 21 years and the Pastor at Lighthouse Church for 26 years. I obtained my Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Spanish from UW Madison, my Master’s in Education from Edgewood College, and I
am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Christian Leadership at Liberty University. Outside of school, I am a mom to an 18- and 21-year-old who are now both in college, and I love to travel. What drew me to ICA is the need. Our city needs a top-notch Christian high school that is accessible to all families. There is a real need for students to not only excel academically, but to become the leaders and world changers God is calling them to be - we hope ICA is that place for them. Additionally, my hope for students this year is that they experience more of Jesus in their studies, relationships, and the fun times.
